Kent could get a trace to 2 inches of snow Tuesday morning

Kent could get anywhere from a trace to 2 inches of snow between 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 and 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

NWS issued a weather advisory on Monday, Feb. 27 for much of Western Washington. The heaviest snowfall is predicted between 6 to 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The high temperature is predicted to be 44 degrees Monday with a low of 32. On Tuesday, the high is expected to be 43 and the low 27. Highs and lows above 32 are predicted through Sunday, March 5.

• WHAT…Snow showers expected. Total snow accumulations of a trace to 2 inches for most locations. Isolated areas may receive 2 to 3 inches where heavier or more persistent snow showers develop.

• WHERE…The lowlands of Western Washington.

• WHEN…From 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28.

• IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions.

• ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The heaviest snowfall may occur between 6 to 10 a.m. Tuesday which could affect the Tuesday morning commute.
