Kent closes James Street hill due to flooding

Kent city road crews closed the James Street hill between Central Avenue and 94th Avenue South on Tuesday afternoon due to water over the road.

James Street, also known as South 240th Street, is one of the main commute routes between downtown and the East Hill.

The water is over the roadway at East James Street and Woodford Avenue North. City officials said how long the street remains closed is to be determined.
