Christie Nelson is the new John L. Scott leader of the Covington-Kent-Maple Valley office in Covington that has 60 brokers.

Nelson brings a wealth of knowledge and a keen eye for innovation to this new role, according to a May 17 John L. Scott press release. She obtained her real estate license in 2017 and joined the John L. Scott Kent North office as a broker until acquiring her managing broker’s license in 2021. Prior to real estate, Nelson’s experience included hospitality management in fine dining.

After recently spending two years with a different brokerage, Nelson returned to John L. Scott.

“It’s home,” she said. “John L. Scott is where I learned the ropes, I trust the leadership, and the legal team is one I want to align myself with in a changing industry.”

Her wealth of knowledge and keen eye for innovation makes her a great fit to lead the office’s 60 brokers, according to the press release. Fostering growth, mentoring brokers and creating a collaborative environment are a few of Nelson’s passions.

“I lead by example and believe in positive affirmations,” Nelson said. “I’m excited to cultivate relationships and community within our office and provide unwavering support for our brokers.”

John L. Scott has over 100 offices with more than 3,000 brokers in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and California.
