Green River Community College president honored at Oct. 19 Kent Chamber of Commerce reception

Green River Community College President Dr. Eileen Ely will be the guest of honor at a reception Oct. 19 at the Kent Chamber of Commerce office, 524 W. Meeker Street, Suite 1, Kent.

Ely is the college’s newest president, having been selected in May for the position by the GRCC Board of Directors. The reception, which will run 5-7 p.m., will be to welcome her to the Kent business community. Beverages and appetizers will be served.

Besides the chamber, sponsors include Green River Community College; Kent Community Foundation; Kent Downtown Partnership; Golden Steer Steak & Rib House; Roland & Company, CPA; Umqua Bank; Valley Bank of Kent.
