Kent garbage drop-off site changes and Saturday date added | Latest Update

Republic Services changes schedule again

Republic Services has changed garbage drop-off sites again and added a Saturday date.

The latest schedule, announced Thursday afternoon is:

• Friday, July 18, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Canyon Ridge Middle School

11000 SE 264th St.

• Saturday, July 19, 8 to 11:30 a.m.

accesso ShoWare Center

625 W. James St.

Single-family residential customers in Kent whose garbage collection was missed due to the ongoing out-of-market labor dispute can take their bagged garbage to the drop-off sites. Residents must bring their ID or an invoice from Republic Services. Please be aware that there may be a line to wait in as other residents drop off their garbage.

Bagged garbage will be accepted at no cost. Bulky waste will not collected at this time.

The work stoppage by Kent drivers began on July 9 in support of labor disputes against Republic Services in Thurston County and in Boston. Several other King and Snohomish county cities served by Republic Services are also impacted by the stoppage.
