Kent Police to host retail theft prevention meeting Oct. 7

Businesses can learn tips about reducing shoplifting

Kent Police will host a Retail Theft & Business Crime Prevention Meeting from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 in Council Chambers at City Hall, 220 Fourth Ave. S.

Business owners, managers or employees will learn:

• Ways you can safeguard your business from theft and loss

• Signs of shoplifting behavior by customers

• What to do if your business is victimized

• Personal safety tips

Anyone planning to attend is asked to RSVP to Kent Police Community Education coordinators Stacy Judd at sjudd@kentwa.gov or Sara Hallstead at shallstead@kentwa.gov.
