Kent Station has a new Mexican restaurant.

Agave Cocina & Cantina is open at the shopping center from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday. Happy hour runs from 3-6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close seven days a week.

Julian Ramos, founder of the popular Agave Cocina & Cantina restaurant in Redmond, added a second location in Kent. The restaurant serves contemporary hand-crafted Mexican food, using fresh, natural ingredients, free of preservatives, trans fats and lard. Sustainable, free-range, hormone-free chicken, pork and beef are menus staples; it also uses organic vegetables, eggs, rice and beans.

Agave features 100-plus hand-picked sipping tequilas. The restaurant is at the old Cal’s location across from The Ram.
