Riverbend Bar & Grill launched its soft opening on Saturday, May 10 in Kent at the city-owned Riverbend Golf Complex.
“Come by to meet the staff, check out the space, and get a taste for what’s to come,” according to a city of Kent Facebook post. “We are so excited to welcome them.”
The team is working under limited operations for the next few days, so please note that available food may sell out, according to the city. They are working hard to learn the flow of this new space and get up to full working order over the next few weeks.
Menus and hours are still to be determined. The restaurant is at 2019 W. Meeker St.
Riverbend Bar and Grill will build upon the successes of her sister restaurants, DaVine Whiskey & Wine Bar (Maple Valley), Dino’s Pub (Renton) and Fall City Bar & Grill (Fall City), according to the restaurant’s website.
Bar owners plan to appeal to sports fans.
“Catch every major local and national game right here—including Seahawks, Mariners, Kraken, Huskies and more,” according to the website. “We also cater to European football fans, regularly showing top Premier League, La Liga, and Bundesliga matches, along with Formula 1 race days for motorsport enthusiasts.”
In addition to inside seating, Riverbend has an outdoor patio overlooking the golf course.
The building has been empty since Half Lion Public House closed in October 2023. City officials agreed in March to a new lease with Riverbend Bar & Grill.
