The Kent Education Association goes to the Sept. 1 press conference by Kent Schools chief Edward Lee Vargas, announcing the district’s legal steps against the union.

“Courts can’t solve these problems; it has to be done at the bargaining table,” KEA President Lisa Brackin-Johnson asserts afterward, to a heavy round of cheers by union members.
