The woman was cited for investigation of fourth-degree assault and public disturbance, according to the police report.

The mother reportedly became upset at the 37-year-old female teacher during a meeting at the school’s principal office about the son’s behavior in class. The mother started to yell at the teacher and then hit the teacher in the hip with an office door as the two were leaving the office.

Police noted in the report that the teacher had a red mark on her hip. Witnesses told police that they heard the mother yell at the teacher and later saw the teacher wince in pain after the door opened.

The mother told police she became upset after the teacher called her son a behavior problem. The mother said her son had behavioral issues but is not a problem. The woman was cited and released.

Store security watched the woman place several items in bag and then exit the store with no attempt to try to pay for the items, according to the police report.

Officers noted that the woman took personal grooming items as well as paper products. The items were valued at about $90.

The woman told officers she took the items because she was desperate. She also said she had been arrested before for stealing from an employer.

Store employees turned over a videotape of the reported theft to police.

Officers cited and released the woman.
