Vincent Wayne Housley, the man charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the killing of his parents Feb. 1 at their Panther Lake home, is slated to be arraigned Wednesday at the Norm Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent.
Housley, 43, remains in the King County jail in Seattle on $2 million bail. If convicted as charged, he faces a standard sentence of 44 to 57 years in prison.
The bodies of Housley’s father, Joe Housley, 66, and mother, Karen Housley, 67, were found by another son Feb. 4 inside their home in the 21200 block of 124th Avenue Southeast, just outside of the Kent city limits.
Housley, who lived with his parents, told King County Sheriff’s Office detectives that he beat and stabbed his mother and father during an argument with them over his drug use, according to charging papers released by the King County Prosecutor’s Office.
Detectives arrested Housley Feb. 5 at a Tukwila motel after questioning him.
