Conservative activist Scott Presler to speak in Kent Nov. 20

Presler part of Super Signer Rally for three proposed state initiatives on voting, parents’ rights and female sports

Conservative activist Scott Presler, the founder of Early Vote Action, a grassroots movement to register Republicans, will be in Kent Thursday, Nov. 20 as part of a Super Signer Rally for three proposed state initiatives in 2026.

The rally is from 5 to 8 p.m. at Elysian Event and Conference Center, 520 Washington Ave. S., the former LA Fitness location.

Neet Grewal, who lost her recent race for the Kent City Council against incumbent Satwinder Kaur, will host the event, according to an Instagram post by Grewal.

Kent is the final of nine stops on a five-day tour by Presler across Washington to promote state initiatives that would require voter identification and proof of citizenship to vote, according to the Washington State Republican Party (WAGOP).

Presler, based in Pennsylvania, has about 2.4 million followers on X and was recently praised by Vice President JD Vance for his tireless efforts to register Republicans to vote, according to the WAGOP.

“Scott Presler inspires people to participate, but also to improve our election systems,” said WAGOP Chairman Jim Walsh, the initiative’s author and sponsor, in a Facebook post. “That’s what the Washington Voter ID Initiative does. And that’s what Presler is doing by supporting this initiative.”

Efforts nationwide align with the Trump administration’s executive order Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections, according to the WAGOP.

“Scott Presler’s visit brings the energy we need to push the Voter ID Initiative across the finish line,” said WAGOP Political Director Matt Brown. “We are fixing our election system, restoring trust in every ballot, and moving full throttle. All gas, no brakes. We will get this done.”

The goal is to collect 350,000 signatures by Dec. 31, according to the WAGOP. A total of 309,000 valid signatures for each initiative are needed by Jan. 2. If enough signatures are gathered, the Legislature can adopt, amend or reject the measure. If rejected, the initiatives would go on the November 2026 general election ballot.

The Kent event, according to Grewal, also includes discussion and signings of proposed initiatives for a parents’ bill of rights to strengthen communication between parents and schools; and to protect fairness in girls sports, which would restrict biological males from participating in sports designated for female athletes.

David Leon, part of the Washington chapter of the conservative group Gays Against Groomers, will be a keynote speaker at the Kent event, according to Grewal.

Presler’s other stops this week include or included Gig Harbor, Marysville, Battle Ground, Aberdeen, Richland, Yakima, Spokane and Bellevue.
