Kent Parks Deli & Cafe celebrated its 20th anniversary at the Kent Senior Activity Center last Friday.

The first 80 participants received lunch at a 1995 price, $3.50, to commemorate the event.

The city-subsidized program, a staple in the senior community, is open to the public Monday to Friday, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., with lunch priced at $6. Lunch on Wednesday is $5.

Consolidated Food Management contracts with the city, offering to serve lunch at a reduced cost for its services.

Helena Reynolds, Kent Parks program manager for the senior center, thanked city officials and the many community partners for supporting the lunch program.

For more information about the program, call 253-856-5150 or go to www.ci.kent.wa.us and search for deli.
