It took firefighters about 20 minutes to extinguish a Kent house fire Tuesday morning, Jan. 13 in the 4400 block of South 257th Street.
No one was home at the time of the fire, according to a Jan. 13 email from Puget Sound Fire spokesperson Pat Pawlak. Firefighters were dispatched just before 9 a.m. and found a large amount of smoke coming from the house when they arrived.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Four engines, one ladder truck, one heavy rescue unit and four fire department support vehicles responded to this incident, Pawlak said. A total of 20 fire department personnel responded.
The house sits just west of Lake Fenwick Park and east of West Fenwick Park, off of Reith Road.
