Firefighter, resident suffer minor injuries in Kent RV fire

Fire broke out Saturday afternoon, Feb. 4 on East Hill

A firefighter and a resident were treated for minor injuries from a recreational vehicle fire Saturday, Feb. 4 in Kent.

Firefighters responded at about 3:15 p.m. to the 13500 block of SE 208th Street and found flames coming from a RV and an attached shed, according to Puget Sound Fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire in about 40 minutes.

“The resident and firefighter are both doing well,” said Puget Sound Fire spokesperson Pat Pawlak in a Feb. 6 email. “The firefighter was seen in the ER and released.”

A friend of the property owner was living in the RV, Pawlak said. The property is just west of Gary Grant Park, a King County-owned park.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
