The Kent Chamber of Commerce is having its second of two candidate forums for the upcoming primary elections.
Organized by the chamber’s Government Affairs Committee, the next forum runs noon to 2 p.m. Aug. 10, and will cover the races of the 33rd and 47th districts. Both will take place at the Kent Centennial Building’s North/South Conference Room, 400 W. Gowe St.
The Aug. 10 event is for the 33rd District, with the following races:
• State Senate Race – Sen. Karen Keiser and Jack Michalek
• State Representative Pos. 1 – Rep. Tina Orwall
• State Representative, Pos. 2 – Rep. Dave Upthegrove
The July 13 event covered the races of the 47th District.
