The Kent Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has approved new board members and officers for the organization.

The Kent Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has approved new board members and officers for the organization.

• Executive Team

President – Dennis Manes, Republic Services

Past President – Shellene Cook, Kelly Services

President Elect – John Schneider, Edward Jones

Treasurer – Dennis Shanlian, Hanis Irvine Prothero Attorneys at Law

• Officers

Government Affairs – Carmen Goers, Wells Fargo

Membership/Ambassadors – Cindi Cameron, Absolute Mortgage

Education – Mark Haller, Tri Tec Manufacturing

Business Services & Events – Maria Dakan, Valley Medical Center and Polly Shepherd, Kent Reporter

Steve Haft – Oh Boy Oberto Brands – 1 year presidential appointment

April St. Rosa – Valley Floor Company – 3-year term

Vickie Gaskill – Bell Anderson Property Management – 1 year presidential appointment

Julia Atwood – Shannon & Associates – 3-year term

David Mitchell -Seattle Union Gospel Mission – 1 year presidential appointment

In accordance with Chamber bylaws, members are advised that additional candidates may be added by petition. To petition you must gather signatures from at least 10 members in good standing. If no petitions are received by Sept. 30, the candidates on the slate shall be deemed elected.
