Christmas Rush still on for Dec. 13

The city of Kent’s annual Christmas Rush 5K/10K run and walk remains on for Saturday morning, Dec. 13 even though much of the course is near the Green River.

City staff drove the full course and while water levels remain very high, no areas along the course are flooded, according to the Parks Department.

The city startrf a Christmas Rush rainout line for updates: Call 253-856-5020 (option 3). The message on this line will be the most current status of the race.

Aside from the rainout line, the race coordinator will email participants if there are any changes.
