At 4:55 a.m. Nov. 6, Puget Sound Fire was dispatched to a Kent home, most of which was on fire.
According to agency, a house in the 1090 block of SE 235th St. in Kent caught fire, but it did not spread to neighboring homes. Puget Sound Fire stated that all occupants of the home made it out safely.
Puget Sound Fire spokesperson Pat Pawlak said that when firefighters arrived, most of the house was on fire, and the fire was also through the roof. Pawlak said it took firefighters over 45 minutes to extinguish the fire and about another 90 minutes to put out some hotspots.
Pawlak said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
