Kent offers Police Teen Academy

Application deadline June 14 for Aug. 13-15 classes

Registration is open to apply for the 2019 Kent Police Teen Academy that provides a introduction to the police department and a potential career in law enforcement.

Students who are sophomores, juniors or seniors in 2019-2020 as well as 2019 high school graduates are eligible.

The academy runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug 13-15, at the Kent Police and Fire Training Center, 24523 116th Ave SE. The academy also counts for Kent School District community service hours as one hour of class equals one hour of service.

The application deadline is June 14. To apply go to kentwa.gov/residents/public-safety/police-department.
