Kent Police Blotter: Oct. 28-Nov. 7

Incidents include street robbery, stabbing, pickax attack, wire theft arrest

A sampling of Kent Police incidents Oct. 28 to Nov. 7:

Oct. 28

Street robbery: 1:45 p.m., officers spoke with a male who reported being robbed near 132nd Avenue Southeast and Southeast 282nd Street. The victim said he was approached by individuals asking where to buy narcotics. When he said he did not know, multiple suspects got out of a vehicle and attacked him. The suspects, all wearing black ski masks and black latex gloves, took the victim’s shoes and jewelry before fleeing.

Oct. 30

7-Eleven robbery: 10 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven, 1481 E. Meeker St. Two suspects entered the store, jumped over the counter, and pointed a gun at the clerk while demanding money. The suspects fled on foot. Surveillance footage was collected from the store.

Oct. 31

Stabbing in vehicle: 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a stabbing in the parking lot of the Spark by Hilton, 22420 84th Ave. S. The victim and her nonverbal autistic adult son had been sleeping in their vehicle when an unknown male opened the doors and began attacking them. The victims fled in their vehicle, driving the wrong way on SR 167 and causing a crash. Both sustained neck lacerations and were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where they were stabilized.

Nov. 3

Pickax attack: 4:20 a.m., officers responded to an assault at Green River Court Apartments, 1401 W. Meeker St. A male victim had been struck in the face with a pickax. The suspect was located nearby and arrested. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Wire theft arrest: 9 a.m., officers responded to multiple locations regarding reports of overhead wires being cut. The suspects had already left the area, but surveillance cameras were located at nearby businesses. Detectives later identified the suspect vehicle and reportedly obtained a full confession from the individual responsible for all three wire theft cases. The suspect was booked into King County jail.

Nov. 5

Attempted street robbery: 8:06 p.m., officers responded to a reported attempted robbery in the 24600 block of Pacific Highway South. A transient male reportedly tried to rob a woman, resulting in a minor injury. The victim used pepper spray, and the suspect fled into a wooded area. A K-9 track was initiated, but the suspect was not located. A jacket and a knife believed to belong to the suspect were recovered. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Nov. 6

Police assist: Issaquah Police Department advised they were requesting assistance in the arrest of a suspect wanted for burglary, malicious mischief, and domestic-related charges. A team of Kent Police officers responded and arrested the suspect without incident. The individual was transferred to Issaquah detectives for processing and booking.

Nov. 7

Restaurant robbery: 2 a.m., officers responded to a robbery at Taqueria El Asadero, 25415 104th Ave. SE. A male suspect entered the business, demanded property from an employee, and fled in a stolen company vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and began a short pursuit before the officer discontinued due to conditions. The vehicle was later recovered in Auburn following a collision and K-9 track. The suspect was located and taken into custody.
