Kent Police found no evidence of foul play during an investigation of the deaths of two Kent men found Nov. 12 in a car with the engine running inside a garage.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office will hold off ruling on a cause of death until the toxicology tests are completed, according to an email from Kent Police Lt. Pat Lowery. Those results could take days or even weeks.

“Our investigators have found no evidence of unusual trauma or foul play that may have contributed to the death of these men,” Lowery said.

The two men, ages 32 and 30, were found unconscious in a running vehicle. Police were called to the Somerset Apartments, 25200 109th Ave. S.E. at 2:18 p.m. Nov. 12 after a witness reported a suspicious situation at the address.

Police arrived to discover the door wedged closed with sounds of a running vehicle coming from within the unit. Kent Firefighters were summoned and were able to make entry.

Once inside the garage, police and firefighters found two men seated inside a mid-1990s Chevrolet Caprice sedan. Paramedics determined that one man, a 30-year-old Kent resident, was deceased. The second man was alive but died Nov. 13 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
