Kent Police investigate suspicious death of woman on West Hill

Found inside residence at Mar A Villa Mobile Home Park

Kent Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman found inside her residence at the Mar A Villa Mobile Home Park, 23810 30th Ave. S., on the West Hill.

Officers were dispatched at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3 for a death investigation, according to police. A family member called from the home. Concerns were raised when relatives were unable to reach the woman during the morning hours, a circumstance described by family members as highly unusual for the woman.

Police entered the residence and found the woman inside. Officers secured the area around the home to conduct their investigation.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death. Police did not release an age for the woman.

Police have not identified a suspect, but there is nothing to indicate that the woman was a random victim, according to police.

Detectives continue to work with family and friends of the woman in an effort to identify a suspect and motive for the death.

Police are asking for the public’s help in solving the crime. Anyone with information should call the Kent Police at 253-856-5808 or email
