Kent Police released a photograph Tuesday of a man they believe to be associated with the April 20 shooting on a Metro bus in Kent.
Police were called to the 20600 block of 108th Avenue Southeast at about 6 p.m. April 20 after gunshots were fired aboard the bus. Officers found a 24-year-old SeaTac man critically injured and the assailant gone.
Investigators found the distinctive coat worn by the suspect a short time after the shooting. Working from witness accounts, detectives now have surveillance photos that shows the same suspect at a Tukwila transit station on April 18, two days before the shooting.
Police believe that the suspect is a frequent bus and light rail passenger who often wears similar clothing. For that reason, police hope that he will be recognized by other commuters who use public transit.
