Kent Police are enlisting the public's help in determining the identity of the man

Kent Police are hopeful that the public will recognize a man captured on video as he robbed a local 7-11 convenience store. The man used a black handgun to threaten the clerk while committing the robbery.

The robbery occurred 11 a.m. Sept. 12 at a 7-11 store on West Valley Highway in Kent. Surveillance video shows the man entering the store. When greeted by a store employee, the man displays a handgun while demanding money. He then fled the store with the cash, leaving the clerk uninjured.

The suspect in this case is a Hispanic male, mid to late 20’s, standing 5 feet, 8 inches, with a stocky build. He has a visible mark or tattoo on the web of his left hand, and may be associated with a brown- or tan-colored truck.

“This is a dangerous person and we’re confident that with the public’s help, we can get him off the street quickly and safely.” said Kent Police Sgt. Pat Lowery. Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is urged to contact the Kent Police Department tip line at 253-856-5808. The identity of callers can be kept confidential.
