Kent School District offers vaccine shots for students ages 5-11

Nov. 9-18 at four middle schools; parents must register online

Kent School District will host a series of COVID-19 vaccination clinics for children ages 5 to 11 at four middle schools from Nov. 9-18.

These clinics will offer the Pfizer vaccination, at no charge, to all students ages 5 to 11. Providers will not be taking patients who require a different COVID-19 vaccine other than the dose for 5 to 11-year-old children to reduce the possibility of vaccine errors during the vaccination clinic schedule.

Vaccination is not required for students in Washington at this time; this is a decision that can only be made at the state level, not the district level, according to a Nov. 5 posting on the Kent School District website.

If parents want their student vaccinated, they must register on the district website for one of the clinics below through the district’s partner provider:

• Tuesday, Nov. 9, 4-6 p.m., Meeker Middle School Library, 12600 SE 192nd St., Renton

The second dose will be Tuesday, Nov. 30, 4-6 p.m., Meeker Middle School Library

• Thursday, Nov. 11, 10 a.m.-noon, Mill Creek Middle School Cafeteria, 620 Central Ave. N., Kent

The second dose will be Thursday, Dec. 2, 4-6 p.m., Mill Creek Middle School TBD

• Tuesday, Nov. 16, 4-6 p.m., Mattson Middle School Multipurpose Room, 16400 SE 251st St., Covington

The second dose will be Tuesday, Dec. 7, 4-6 p.m., Mattson Middle School Multipurpose Room

• Thursday, Nov. 18, 4-6 p.m., Cedar Heights Middle School Cafeteria, 19640 SE 272nd St. Kent

The second dose will be Thursday, Dec. 9, 4-6 p.m., Cedar Heights Middle School Cafeteria
