Regional Animal Services of King County, whose shelter is in Kent, has a special pet adoption campaign going through Aug. 31.
The cost of adopting any cat or dog is just $30 – the price of a pet license.
Regional Animal Services joined with NBCUniversal and other animal shelters nationwide. Check out the pets it has available for adoption at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet.
Since 2015, Clear the Shelters has led to nearly 1.2 million pet adoptions nationwide and raised more than $5 million for participating shelters and rescues. Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Greater Good Charities and WeRescue support the event.
The shelter is at 21615 64th Ave. S., in Kent. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
