No garbage, recycling pickup on Thanksgiving in Kent

Customers who have garbage service on Thursday or Friday will get pickup a day later during Thanksgiving week.

Republic Services will not collect garbage, recycling and organics from its Kent and other Puget Sound-area customers on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 27.

Customers with a regular scheduled pick-up on Thursdays will have their waste picked up on Friday, Nov. 28. Customers with Friday service will have their waste picked up on Saturday, Nov. 29.

Looking ahead to other holidays, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day are also on a Thursday; therefore, Thursday customers will be collected on Friday and Friday customers will be collected on Saturday.
