Caused by vehicle crash into utility pole early Tuesday morning

Kent is experiencing a network outage impacting multiple business systems Tuesday morning, Feb. 7, according to a city of Kent statement.

An early morning crash of a vehicle into a utility pole on West James Street near Second Avenue caused the outage, according to the city.

As of 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, the estimated time of restoration has been set for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Puget Sound Energy (PSE). The outage began at 2:22 a.m. and 218 customers are currently impacted, according to PSE.

The city Parks Department canceled its ShoWalk at the accesso ShoWare Center due to the outage.

PSE has a crew on-site for extensive repair work at the location.
