Ramp and lane shifts coming soon to I-405/SR 167 interchange in Renton

Drivers using the Interstate 405/State Route 167 interchange in Renton should prepare for newly configured ramps and lanes next week.

Starting as soon as Tuesday, March 14, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will shift lanes and ramps near the interchange toward the median to create a work zone for the I-405/SR 167 Interchange Direct Connector project. Overnight ramp and lane closures and rolling slowdowns will be necessary to complete this work. Washington State Patrol on-site to assist with the rolling slowdowns.

This shift will allow crews to perform hillside grading and prepare to relocate a noise wall. Drivers can expect to see this configuration for the next several months.
