Auburn Police seek suspect in Bigfoot Java armed robbery

Suspect reportedly held the baristas at gunpoint before stealing the tip jar and firing a shot into the roof.

Auburn Police are searching for a suspect who reportedly held baristas at gunpoint at a Bigfoot Java and fired a shot that didn’t hit anybody.

The Auburn Police Department (APD) is seeking tips regarding a suspect who held two baristas at gunpoint before stealing their tip jar at a Bigfoot Java, 802 14th St. NE, at about 5:30 p.m. Aug. 8, according to police. Before fleeing, the suspect reportedly fired a single shot into the roof, but no one was injured.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, and no vehicle was seen, according to APD.

The APD asks that if anyone recognizes the suspect or has any information, contact the APD tip line at 253-288-7403.
