Detectives searching for witnesses to SR 18 shooting near Federal Way

On Aug. 6, it was reported that a black or silver Honda fired at a silver Toyota Corolla.

Detectives are searching for witnesses to a shooting on State Route 18 late Aug. 6 near Federal Way.

According to the Washington State Patrol, at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 6, a person was driving a silver 2015 Toyota Corolla on westbound SR 18 exiting to southbound Interstate 5 when a black or silver Honda fired one round at their vehicle. The person whose car was shot at said they were not injured and had no description of the driver of the suspect vehicle.

According to the State Patrol, troopers contacted the driver of the car that was shot at and confirmed that their vehicle was struck by gunfire.

State Patrol detectives are asking that anyone who was in the area and witnessed the shooting or has information regarding the shooting to email Detective Todd Early at Todd.Early@wsp.wa.gov.
