Man, 22, dies from shooting at Auburn apartment complex

Police say: ‘This wasn’t a random act’

A 22-year-old man was fatally shot April 15 in Auburn.

Auburn Police have no suspects in custody for the killing, as the department continues to investigate the incident and follow-up on leads, according to an email from Kolby Crossley, a spokesperson for the Auburn Police Department.

“This wasn’t a random act,” said Crossley.

According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, Eydoel A. Negash died as a result of a gunshot wound of the head. The medical examiner’s office identified his death as a homicide.

According to Crossley’s email, Auburn police responded at approximately 5 a.m. April 15 to a shooting at the Promenade Apartments in Auburn, 12902 SE 312th St.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from “at least one gunshot wound.”

First responders transported Negash to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after performing lifesaving measures. Negash was pronounced dead at Harborview Medical Center.
