Two people died in a two-car collision where one car caught fire just outside the Auburn city limits at 13604 SE Auburn-Black Diamond Road at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 13, according to King County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Tim Meyer.
Meyer said deputies initially responded, followed by the primary investigators, the Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Response and Reconstruction Detectives, who were still at the scene the night of Aug. 13. Meyer said as of late Aug. 13, there are no additional updates as the detectives’ work continues.
The location is just east of State Route 18 in unincorporated King County.
Meyer said the King County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death and the identities of the deceased.
