A Spanaway woman was arrested in Bellevue after she allegedly brandished a gun on gas station employees who asked her to leave when she refused to wear a mask.
The 33-year-old woman was arrested on Dec. 27, 2021, at a gas station on 13948 NE 20th St. This publication is not naming the woman because she has not yet been officially charged with a crime. However, the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office anticipates a rush filing charging decision.
According to Bellevue Police, the woman went into a gas station where she was asked to wear a face mask by the employee there. She refused, and the employee tried to escort her out.
Bellevue Police said she then removed her gun from her holster and showed it to the employee, who believed she was going to shoot them.
The woman had her first appearance in court on Friday, Jan. 28, where a judge found probable cause for felony harassment and released her on her personal recognizance with an order to not possess weapons and not have new criminal law violations.
