Jeannette T. Sather, formerly of Kent and Maple Valley, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in Cary, NC. She was 92.Born November 12, 1916, in Bowman County, ND, she lived in the Kent and Maple Valley areas for 44 years. Jeannette retired in 1976 after 36 years as a registered nurse.Jeannette is survived by her daughter, Gayle Laakso and husband, Mel of Cary, NC; son, Michael Sather and wife, Sue of Stockton, CA; five grandchildren, Tommy, Tim and Todd Laakso, Debbie Sasser and David Sather; 3 great-granddaughters, Haley Laakso, Madison Laakso and Alyssa Sasser.She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Anton C. Sather.A funeral service was held at 11 AM, Monday, January 26, 2009, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Road, Cary. Burial followed at Wake Memorial Park.The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
