Kent’s Spotlight Series hosts the much-anticipated return of The Peking Acrobats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, at Kentwood Performing Arts Center, 25800 164th Ave. SE in Covington.

Since their founding in 1986, The Peking Acrobats have achieved international acclaim, dazzling audiences around the world. They perform daring maneuvers atop a precarious pagoda of chairs and display their technical prowess at such arts as trick-cycling, precision tumbling, juggling, somersaulting and gymnastics. The Peking Acrobats are accompanied by live musicians who skillfully play traditional Chinese instruments; the time-honored Chinese music coalesces with awe-inspiring acrobatic feats, creating an exuberant entertainment event with the festive pageantry of a Chinese Carnival.

Tickets are $28 for adults, $25 for seniors and $15 for youths. Tickets may be purchased at kentarts.com, by calling 253-856-5051 or in person at the Kent Commons, 525 Fourth Ave. N. Hours for phone and in-person sales are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Box office is closed on Sunday.

Spotlight Series is presented by the Kent Arts Commission and Kent Parks, Recreation and Community Services, and partially funded by 4Culture and a variety of business and individual sponsors. The Peking Acrobats performance is co-sponsored by Curran Law Firm through the Kent Parks Foundation.
