JESSICA BARNES
Kentlake
• Grade: Junior.
• Sport: Basketball.
• Accomplishment: Barnes served up a team-high nine points on Dec. 29, leading the Falcons past Snohomish in a nonleague game, 42-33.
• Favorite class: Astronomy.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Beyonce’, Tyra Banks, Chelsea Handler, and Cody Duncan. I would take us to an all-you-can-eat buffet.
• Greatest athletic moment: Beating Thomas Jefferson in double-overtime because it was very intense.
• Most recent book read/author: “The Heart Is” by Billie Letts.
• What’s on your iPod?: “Tik Tok” by Kesha “Drop the World” by Lil’ Wayne and featuring Eminem.
• Also noted: Barnes doesn’t only excel on the basketball court, but in the classroom, where she currently sports a 3.6 grade-point average.
ALISSA MARTIN
Kentridge
• Grade: Senior.
• Sport: Basketball.
• Accomplishment: Martin scored a game-high 12 points on Dec. 22, leading the Chargers to their first victory of the season, a 48-37 nonleague win over Beamer.
• Favorite class: AP Calculus.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Niss and Trigga Trey Songz and I would serve four-cheese pasta.
• Greatest athletic moment: Going to Gonzaga this past summer with the team. A lot of things happened that I will never forget.
• Most recent book read/author: “Kaffir Boy” by Mark Mathabane.
• What’s on your iPod?: “That’s How Strong My Love Is” by Alicia Keys.
• Also noted: After high school, Martin, who carries a 3.8 grade-point average, plans on attending either Western Washington or the University of Washington to study engineering.
SERGIO ARROYO
Kent-Meridian
• Grade: Junior.
• Sport: Basketball.
• Accomplishment: Arroyo led a balanced K-M offensive attack, scoring 12 points on Dec. 28 in helping the Royals upend Liberty in a nonleague game, 72-57.
• Favorite class: History.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite George Lopez because he is hilarious. I would serve him these special sandwiches that my friend makes. And I am not sure what they are called, I just call them “the sandwiches.” They are delicious.
• Greatest athletic moment: Scoring 17 points in a game playing at the Evergreen tournament during the summer.
• Most recent book read/author: The Bible.
• What’s on your iPod?: “Ride for Me” by Gabriel Antonio.
• Also noted: Arroyo plans on attending the University of Washington after high school and hopes to play basketball at the next level.
THOMAS REINHART
Kent-Meridian
• Grade: Senior.
• Sport: Wrestling.
• Accomplishment: Competing at 189 pounds, Reinhart won three-straight matches, including the championship at the Rogers Holiday Tournament on Dec. 30. Reinhart outlasted Enumclaw’s Darrin Qualls for the title, 8-5.
