LYNNSEY THIELMAN

Kentlake

• Grade: Junior.

• Sport: Gymnastics.

• Accomplishment: Thielman led Kentlake to 154.75 points in a four-team meet victory over Decatur, Kentwood and Capital. Thielman brought home the all-around crown (34.6) along with a title on the bars (8.05), beam (9.30), and floor (8.85).

• Favorite class: Ceramics.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Josh Dumal and (I would serve) lobster.

• Favorite Movie: The Blind Side.

• Most recent book read/author: “My Sister’s Keeper,” by Jodie Picoult.

• What’s on your iPod?: “Do You Remember.”

• Also noted: Thielman qualified for state in gymnastics as a freshman and a sophomore. She also is a Level 9 gymnast and competes with Puget Sound Gymnastics.

DILLON SERR

Kentridge

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Wrestling.

• Accomplishment: Serr, a 135-pounder, ripped through his bracket at the North Mason Classic, collecting a pair of pins and three victories in all, including the championship.

• Favorite class: History.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my mother since I only see her once a year. I would serve a family favorite, which is pork chops with rice and gravy.

• Greatest athletic moment: Winning my first wrestling tournament.

• Most recent book read/author: “In the Wild” by Jon Krakauer.

• What’s on your iPod?: “Headstrong” by Trapt.

• Also noted: Serr is a two-time team captain and plans on taking up mixed martial arts (MMA) this summer.

CODY BARTHOLOMEW

Kent-Meridian

• Grade: Junior.

• Sport: Swimming.

• Accomplishment: Bartholomew won the 100 free (58.50) and the 100 back (1:10.91) in last week’s 96-84 win over Thomas Jefferson.

• Favorite class: Psychology.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: President Obama and I would serve tacos because that’s the only thing I can make.

• Greatest athletic moment: The meet vs. Thomas Jefferson, where we won and I had two comeback wins.

• What’s on your iPod?: “Uprising” by Muse.

• Most recent book read/author: “An Enemy of the People” by Henrik Ibsen

• Also noted: Bartholomew plays water polo during the summer and hopes to attend the University of Washington after high school.

TRE TYLER

Kentwood

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Basketball.

• Accomplishment: Tyler scored a team-high 16 points in a 61-37 South Puget Sound League North Division win over Tahoma.

• Favorite class: Ceramics.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: (Model) Vida Guerra and I would serve chicken enchiladas.

• Favorite movie: Apocalypto.

• What’s on your iPod?: Anything Young Jeezy.

• Most recent book read/author: “The Diary of Ann Frank.”

• Also noted: Tyler hopes to play basketball in college next year, but he doesn’t yet know where he will be attending.
