Kent natives Courtney Vandersloot and Lindsey Moore have enjoyed their share of success on the women’s basketball court this season. Vandersloot, a 2007 Kentwood High graduate who now plays at Gonzaga, led the Bulldogs to a 72-71 upset victory over Texas A& M on Monday night in a second-round NCAA tournament game.

On Tuesday night, Moore, a 2009 Kentwood High graduate who now plays at Nebraska, led the Cornhuskers past UCLA 83-70. Both Vandersloot and Moore are now in the Sweet 16. If the Bulldogs and Cornhuskers win their next two games, Vandersloot and Moore will meet in the NCAA semifinals on April 4.
