Mark your calendar: Kent Chamber of Commerce scheduling debates for candidates of 33rd, 47th districts

The Kent Chamber of Commerce has scheduled two public debates for candidates in the upcoming primary races.

Andrea Keikkala, executive director of the chamber, said Friday that the candidates of the 47th District will spar off noon July 13, while District 33 candidates will have the opportunity noon Aug. 10. Both debates, which are open to the public, will take place in the city of Kent’s North-South Conference Room in the Centennial Center, 400 W. Gowe.

Keikkala said the chamber would be evaluating questions from the public, to put past the candidates. You can e-mail your questions to Keikkala by sending them to info@kentchamber.com.
