Kent’s Stefano Langone from ‘American Idol’ to appear at Kent Station June 4

Kent’s “American Idol” star Stefano Langone will appear from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4 at the Kent Station shopping mall, 417 Ramsay Way.

Langone will sign autographs, pose for photos, talk to the crowd and might even sing a song if city of Kent officials can get approval from “American Idol” representatives to allow the Kentwood High School graduate to sing. He will appear at the Kent Station Fountain Stage near the theater.

Representatives from the city and Kent Station are organizing the event to welcome Langone back to town.

Langone, 22, was eliminated from the show April 21 after advancing to the top seven. The top 11 contestants, including Langone, earned spots on the “American Idol Live” nationwide tour that will feature solo and duet sets. The tour comes July 8 to Everett’s Comcast Arena.

Scotty McCreery won the Idol title on May 25.
