Help the Kent Police raise money for a special needs child at a Flapjack Fundraiser from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, June 16 at Applebee’s restaurant, 25442 104th Ave. S., on the East Hill.

Proceeds will benefit Mikey Bishop, 6, and his family for the long-term care of Bishop. Members of the police department will host and serve a flapjack breakfast. Tickets are $10 each.

Kent Police selected Bishop to represent the agency this August during the Washington State Police Chief for a Day, which celebrates the lives of children who have been diagnosed with a chronic or life-threatening illness.
