Unbeaten Kentridge turns back Bellarmine Prep, reaches bi-district final

Jawan Stepney exploded for 32 points as No. 4 Kentridge turned back Bellarmine Prep 65-52, in a West Central/Southwest 4A Bi-District Tournament game at Auburn High School on Thursday night.

The Chargers (24-0) will play Beamer, a 59-46 winner over Stadium, in the tournament championship game at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pacific Lutheran University in Parkland. Kentridge is already assured a regional playoff berth.

Deon Thomas and Joe Wainhouse each had eight points and Danny Torlai added six for Kentridge.

Malachai Flynn and Will Wolf led the Lions with 13 points apiece.
