State offers business tax workshop on April 14

Business owners in Washington are responsible for knowing which taxes to report. To help them, the state Department of Revenue will run a free workshop for new and small business owners in Kent and Federal Way on Tuesday, April 14.

The workshop goes from 1-4 p.m. at the Federal Way Library, 34200 First Way S.

Participants will learn about Washington excise taxes, reporting classifications, deductions, tax incentives, sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements. Attendees receive a workbook and helpful reference guide to state revenue’s rules and regulations.
