Kent’s Interurban Trail to close near South 212th Street

City of Kent crews will close the Interurban Trail between South 212th Street and West James Street from Monday, Feb. 27 through late April for the installation of large-scale foundations for taller steel power transmission poles.

Drivers along South 228th Street will face periodic and temporary shoulder lane restrictions at the Interurban Trail for delivery of large-scale material and equipment to construct the overpass over the Union Pacific railroad tracks. Traffic control will be in place.
