Chargers stay alive in district baseball playoffs

Kentridge scored seven runs in the first inning and went on to eliminate Curtis 10-5 in a district playoff game Wednesday at Art Wright Field.

The Chargers (14-7) play Skyview in the district playoffs at 10 a.m. Saturday at Puyallup’s Heritage Park.

James Billotti tripled and drove in three runs for Kentridge. Garrett Wong went 2-for-4 and drove in two more runs. Louie Albrecht and Preston Viltz doubled and drove in a run. Trent Jackson also had an RBI.

Cameron Hale picked up the win. He surrendered five runs on 12 hits over seven innings, striking out six.

On Tuesday, the Chargers dropped a 5-4 decision to Tahoma on Mason Fritsch’s walkoff, run-scoring single in the seventh inning.

Trent Jackson doubled and drove in two runs for Kentridge.
