Kentridge High School’s Zaiah Calvin, volleyball, was selected as the Kent Reporter’s Female Athlete of the Week for Sept. 21.

A: English
Q: What other activities do you participate in?
A: Art and music.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My mom and dad.
Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?
A: I listen to music and then I pray

Zaiah was selected as the Athlete of the Week because of her .500 hitting percentage, 28 attempts, 17 kills, three errors and because she is this year’s team captain.
