Four people were displaced after an early Thursday morning fire badly damaged their home in the 26500 block of 115th Place Southeast.

The fire was first reported to 911 at 4:06 a.m. by several people, including the occupants. Everyone was able to get out of the home safely, though a dog died in the fire, according to a Puget Sound Fire news release.

When firefighters arrived, they found flames coming from the entire front of the two-story house and both cars in the driveway burning. The fire was upgraded to a second alarm to bring in additional firefighters.

Because of the amount of damage to the house, much of the fire was fought from the outside once firefighters were informed that the family had escaped.

No other homes were damaged by the fire.

Red Cross is assisting the family. Investigators are trying to determine what started the fire.
