Kentridge High’s Lizzy McKnight finished second in the 1-meter diving finals at the state 4A championships at the King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way last Saturday.

McKnight’s score was 388.25.

Kentlake’s Cassie Padilla placed 11th (292.60) in the diving final. Rogers sophomore Heather Hopkins won the event (407.00).

Kentridge’s Lauren Briggs took ninth in the 100-yard freestyle (54.44) and was 14th in the 200 individual medley (2:13.77).

Briggs joined Bridget Cleary, Jaden Keatts and Haley DePriest in taking 14th in the 400 freestyle relay (3:46.63) and 15th in the 200 freestyle relay (1:43.57).

For Kent-Meridian, Jayda So was 15th in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.08).

In the team chase, Kentridge tied for 15th, Kentlake was 34th and Kent-Meridian wound up 39th.
